On October 18th, the campus of Jaipuria Institute of Management pulsed with rhythm, energy, and unity as 300+ students and faculty came together for a powerful team-building session led by Drum Circle India. As part of their rejuvenation and reorientation initiative, this interactive drumming experience wasn’t just about creating beats—it was about building the leaders of tomorrow through connection, collaboration, and creativity.

Rhythm as a Tool for Leadership
In a world where emotional intelligence, collaboration, and communication define great leaders, Jaipuria Institute took a forward-thinking step by bringing rhythm into the mix. Drum Circle India facilitated an unforgettable session that brought students out of the classroom and into a shared rhythm, encouraging them to listen, lead, adapt, and align—all essential traits of impactful leadership.
What made the experience special was its hands-on, immersive format. There were no slides or lectures—just djembes, energy, and the power of coming together to create something bigger than themselves.
A Reset of Mind and Mood
The timing couldn’t have been better. Midway through the academic grind, the session offered students a much-needed mental reset. The circular rhythm helped them disconnect from stress, reconnect with peers, and re-energize their outlook—perfectly aligned with the goals of a reorientation program. With every beat, students found clarity, mindfulness, and collective motivation.
Building Bonds, Breaking Barriers
What’s beautiful about a drum circle is that it levels the playing field. In those moments of music-making, there were no departments, no designations—just a shared pulse. Students from diverse backgrounds collaborated effortlessly, breaking social silos and learning to work in harmony, both literally and figuratively.
Gratitude and Future Impact
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Aparna Mendiratta, Dr. Varun Chotia, and Dr. Samar Sarabhai for making this unique session possible. Their vision to shape well-rounded, emotionally intelligent leaders is commendable, and we’re proud to be part of that journey.
Drum Circle India is honored to have contributed to empowering the next generation of change-makers. Because when future leaders learn to lead with rhythm, the world moves forward in harmony.
