When the United Nations set the stage for the Generation Equality Allies Meet in Delhi, they weren’t just looking to host another conference—they aimed to spark a movement. And what better way to translate a global call for gender equality into a shared experience than through the universal rhythm of a drum circle? Enter Drum Circle India, turning ideas into action with beats that spoke louder than words.

A Beat That Unites Voices for Equality
Facilitated by Drum Circle India, the session titled “Sounds of Equality” brought together changemakers from around the world—activists, creators, influencers, and thought leaders. Among them were inspiring names like Nikhil Taneja (Yuvaa), Masoom Minawala, and Manasi Chaudhari. As the drums were handed out and the beats began, the room shifted from conversation to connection.
“Easily the best activity I've ever been part of in all the events I've attended. You all were incredible!!” said Nikhil Taneja. And that sentiment echoed louder than the drums.
Rhythm as a Catalyst for Change
This wasn’t just a fun team-building activity. The drum circle became a living metaphor for equality—different people, different rhythms, finding one unified beat. The session was designed to break silos, foster collaboration, and remind everyone that real change begins when we listen, adapt, and play in sync.
As participants co-created rhythms, they also co-owned the message: Gender equality requires collective action. From policymakers to creators, everyone drummed to the same beat—literally and metaphorically.
“Sounds of Equality”: A Powerful Anthem of Change
The heartbeat of the session was an original rhythm anthem composed by Manu, Founder of Drum Circle India, symbolizing the fight for a fairer, more inclusive world. With every beat, the message got louder—equality is not just an idea, it’s a rhythm we must all march to.
A Drum Circle That Moved More Than Just Hands
Drum Circle India created more than music—they built momentum. This session wasn’t just memorable; it was transformative. It united global voices with one mission, reminding us all that the road to equality doesn’t need to be walked alone—it can be danced, chanted, and drummed together.
